If you are planning any alterations to your property that are structural or affect the external appearance of the flats’ buildings, then prior consent must be obtained from the managing agent. Please refer to the guidance notes and application form, and allow ample time for the matter to be referred to the directors if necessary.

Examples include replacing fire doors, removing internal walls, the replacement of windows or the installation of extractor fans where the vent will need to be placed through an external wall. Importantly, overflow pipes from new condensing boilers must run into an external drain to avoid staining the brickwork.
